Hi, I need to replace my regulator on my 1936 16H. There are replacement Lucas type regulators online for around the £50 mark, however there is a replacement regulator within the NOC spares that’s only circa £20. The NOC one states it fits inside the original casing. Not being familiar with this, which is best please as a replacement?
My motorcycle is negative earth and I’m not getting a charge to the battery. On checking the regulator this morning when gently revving her, I can see that the plates at the top of the regulator do not move. This regulator was on the bike when I bought her, and looks very old really.
any advice would be welcomed. Thanks.

I sell one of these at £52 It works and give it back up and it fits in the box if you want to.
A £20 regulator is probably the one sourced from Wassell no technical backup available. Your Choice
