Hi.
Ive been trying to source a rear brake arm lever and spring for 1947 International.
A2/469 S7 A2/470 S8
Norvile (although given the correct part numbers) ended up shipping an incorrect part out to New Zealand - and upon highlighting this error they were unable to supply correct part.
Ive tried the place in Austria (who I think can provide spring but not lever arm).
Thought to ask if anyone has any other sources to try?
Thanks, Al
Just to confirm...

Same as WD ?
Are the arm and spring the same as the rigid models ?They look to be. Here's one in Australia :-

There are several Greek sellers dismantling WD16Hs..maybe worth making an offer for the arm alone.

Hi, thank you . I believe…
Hi, thank you . I believe the first reply with image from Michael above is the correct part. The rod fits above axil - and the crank on the arm bends inwards towards the hub to clear the shock. Very interested to get one if a member has available. Thank you,
Regards, Al

My 1952 ES2
has the same layout as in Michael's photo with the operating lever pointing upwards. I believe that this layout was only used for a couple of years as generally the lever is pointing downwards which of course needs a different pedal.

BEND IS WRONG WAY
Al,
Comparing the brake arm I have to your IMG0572 mine is bent the other way. So would go outside the suspension. Probably no use to you then.
Duncan.

es2
hi Mike,
Im looking for a brake pedal like yours. Mine's slightly different and the brake rod has been bent to allow it to pass behind the suspension unit. You do get brake pedals coming up on eBay now and again but I don't know how to identify if they're correct for my bike (1948 es2). Does yours have a manufacture/ cast number on it? if so can you let me know.
many thanks
Paul

Brake Pedal Differences
The more common type pedal works with the rod running outboard of the springs with no offset. The type I needed is longer pedal to pivot by an inch or so, farther from pivot to rod attachment, and offset inwards as seen in the first photo. I neglected to make note of the correct casting number when I borrowed a pedal as a pattern. I had two of the wrong type, made a wooden jig with a borrowed correct pedal, and had my welder buddy make one from two. Perfect fit.

Michael, The casting…
Michael,
The casting number for your brake pedal is 11308. Same pedal on my 1949 Inter.

...you're looking for the brake arm with the rod above the axle. Like this:
I went through a lot of grief trying to find the correct pedal for this version. The later have the rod below, an arm for which I have as surplus.
