Hello.
I have mostly got my 1951 ready to ride, but I am unsure of which tyres to put on it. It is rigid back end with long road holders. 19" front and rear wheels.
What are most people running? I have had k70's mentioned and speedmasters?
Thanks.

Avons Speedmaster and SM combination is pretty good by all acounts. Also Norton Specified this combination after a series of failures of Dunlop tyres ruined their 1950 GP season.

Has anyone ran the trials looking heidenau or mites tyres?
I like the look of them and also the idea of a smoother ride courtesy of the larger sidewall and soft tread. I'm just not sure if it will fit under the rear mudguard .

I find mitas are fine for the performance these old bikes have. They are cheap, durable and look the part.
Foolishly I did not buy a pair at Stafford.Only £60 the pair that day!
k70's are fine but I have never had good life from them.
