I see Norvil have these - any other sources anyone? It appears they're different from the various flavours of vertical cover boxes.

Hi Jon.

I haven't stripped the end cover of the box yet but there does seem to be an awful lot of play between the worm and the nut leading to a lot of lost motion.

If you did have the bits in decent condition I would very probably be interested.....

That looks right Jonathan but as mentioned I have yet to delve into the box and it will be several weeks before I have the time to do so.

Could you hold on to your parts in the meantime?

Hi Jonathan.I now have mine off. At first glance it looked different to yours but the photos look very similar - in real life the thread looks much coarser.

Mine has a lot of play between the steel & bronze components. Is yours good in this respect? If so, let me know how much you want for the pair and I'm sure we can come to a reasonable arrangement! Let me know on ian at iansoady dot org dot uk.

ps I note yours has a "pip" on the end of the scroll for the pushrod - mine doesn't but I expect there's enough tolerance in there. Oddly, when I look at the business end it almost looks as though a roller has been fitted in there. A previous owner was quite keen on unorthodox mods.......
