This is unofficial, but, the Spanish branch are hoping to organize a weekend rally, at Turel, in early June next year. Full details will be announced next year. To be viable, at least 25 entries will be required, however 20 Spanish members have expressed interest, so, the event is likely to take place. Obviously a weekend trip to Spain would not be cost effective, but, it might well be of interest to anyone considering a touring holiday in this area.

Do you mean Teruel? If so the ferry to Santander is worth considering it's a 5 or 6 hour ride from there at modern speeds!

Hi Dan, yes, it was typo, Teruel is correct. Using toll free motorways (with light traffic, and very few radar traps) it might be even quicker. However, with fuel and rest stops, it would be a day's run. There is very little difference, in distance, from Santander, or, Bilboa.

p.s. It is not planned to be a camping weekend, accommodation will be in local hotels.

Hello John,am spending winter in Benicassim near Castellon bringing classic bike down with motorhome spending three months so are there any bike get togethers etc in this area be interested to know,Regards Paul.

Hi Paul, The classic bike scene, in the Valencia province, is a bit quiet, but, if I hear of anything I will post it here. My bike is off the road at the moment, for a little refurbishment. However, hopefully not for too long. I live just north of Valencia, not too far from Benicassim, maybe we could meet while you are down here. Hmm, more interest than expected! Martin Bernert (Spanish branch) is the organizer. His email address is in Roadholder, but, I think he is on holiday at the moment. Martin is fluent in English, but he may like me to liaise with UK members. I will contact him for more information. The event will be before the school holiday season, so ferry bookings should not be a problem. John.

To eventually interested Members for TERUEL rally initially planed for 9th-11th of June 2017:

As John Shorter said all is still to be confirmed. The possibility of being at the same date as National Rally in UK (10-11.6.) must be taken into consideration if possible. I am not on holidays (would like to) but traveling around in the Gulf area for business. I will try to set all till the end of the year and inform. However it is not to be meant as the International Rally of 2010 but a much smaller event.

Of course if someone wanted to stay longer in the area, additional routes might be proposed to you.

Further to previous posts.

Anyone interested in attending the Teruel rally should contact Martin Bernert, via email nortonclubespana@gmail.com

Entry forms, and further information, are now available.

Obviously it would not be worth traveling from the UK, just for a weekend, but accommodation could be arranged for a longer stay, before, or after, the rally. Early June is one of the best months in Spain, before the summer heat really sets in.

Martin speaks excellent English, and, barring accidents, I will also be attending (but don't let that put you off!!).
