Just taken some measurements on 16H engine well warmed up.
On barrel and head front right arround exhaust: 240 deg C.
On barrel behind and to the left (opposite to exhaust): 161 deg C.
Crank case: approx 60 deg C
Magneto body: approx 40 deg C
Weather - sunny with air about 28 deg C.
Readings using Maplin infra-red electronic thermometer.
Exhaust pipe - I don't trust readings from chrome but it says about 120 deg C close to engine - i.e. not nearly as hot as the head. But as I say I don't really trust it.
I don't know if it would get much hotter after a longer run but it seems to be stable.
