Mk3 roadster seat, I am looking to purchase one, many uk sites advertise them and I have seen non uk ones at £130 up to AN at £207
Any tips on which to go for would be appreciated, I feel I would prefer one made in uk they seem to start around £150
Maybe interested if someone has a Corbin sat around doing nothing !!
Always good to get your thoughts before splashing out

Believe it or not
I bought and returned 5 Roadster seats recently, every one had faults.
From smudged gold printing on the rear, twisted covers, cheap nasty chrome trim around the base, poor quality metal base with welding spatter everywhere.
I ended up buying the most expensive one from ANL and it was pretty much perfect and included the rubber feet already attached.
I did consider a Leighton seat, but they cannot replicate the high-frequency welded pattern that was on the original and stitch the squares instead. I wanted to keep an original look otherwise i would have gone for this option as they are very nicely finished seats.

Steven, thanks for your reply its exactly what I guessed may happen buying the cheaper versions to be honest but you never know so your reply has really helped, I assume ANL is our good friends based in Andover ?

…renovating an original seat? Original Mk3 seats or seat pans seem to come up on eBay regularly. Leighton’s (and other providers) do new covers and foam.
