Roadriders

Forums

hi, I was going to change my tyres to roadrider's 100/100 front and rear but can't seem to locate them. I can only seem to locate 100/90's, have they stopped making the 100/100's?.

is there any real difference anyway?.

They never existed as far as I know for roadriders, tyres are either metric eg 100/90 , 90/90 where the first number is the width and the last is the % of the width the height is so a 90/90 is 90mm wide and 81mm high. If not metric then they are the old imperial where the height is the same as the width so 4.00 X 19 is 4" wide, 4" high and for a 19" rim but effectively 100/100x19 but never known by this number. Avon however have never made these for Roadriders, only 4.00 x 18 so you are stuck with 100/90 x 19 100mm wide and 90mm high or the AM9 Universal 4.10x19TT which is a rebranded Roadrunner and 4" wide and 4" high.

I use 90/90 on the front and 100/90 on the rear

These are all nominal sizes, the actual sizes can be different depending on the rim its fitted to.
