Thanks Maurice. Looking at the centre stand stop in the NOC shop it appears to be a steel 'spike' that bolts to the centre channel. Is it also supposed to have some kind of rubber buffer attached to it?

Yes on all points! a mistake I made when fitting a remote filter was not taking the centre stand into account! I made my own stop, which mounts with countersunk screws to fit behind the filter.

Can you elaborate on why the centre stand was a problem Dan? I've got the filter mounting bracket from the club shop and I assume (tsk tsk) that it just bolts through the stop to the channel. Haven't got the stop yet so can't offer it up to check.

Yes they're for the centre stand stop. A flap that sits at the base of the centre channel to keep muck from the rear of the engine is also bolted on there.
