I am completing a plunger ES2 that was an abandoned project. With the bike came enough bits to consider building another ES2 but without a frame. I have a contact who tells me he has a plunger frame from a twin - presumably model 7.
Will the single engine go into the twin frame without any major modification?

From the photo it looks pretty similar to me, but I am not sure about the gearbox mounting. Is this different?

I suppose it could be done…
I suppose it could be done but you would need a model 7 petrol tank, custom engine plates, and a laydown box. Probably easier to find an es2 frame.

Thanks Michael, I have found out from the guy who has the frame that it is an early swinging arm frame so as such not much good. I do have a laydown gearbox and would have find a tank. I have made engine plates for other projects in the past. I don't suppose you want to part with the frame in the picture?
