I have received a set of rings from RGM for my 850, they are 'Deves' and the oil control ring is quite different to theone that is being replaced, whichI think is a Hepolite
Would appreciate any comments/views on Deves Rings and whetherthey would be suitable

'Never heard of them' was the same comment from the service engineer in my place of work and he is very experienced in engine rebuilds albeit of the 4 wheel variety, looking at Deves website they appear to originally havebeen a Swedish Co. but were taken over by a US firm and are now manufactured in California, they maybe OK but I think I shall be returning them to the supplier & obtaining the type you have mentioned - Thanks

Never heard of Deves, and no idea if they are any good. Andover Norton sell GPM, made by their OE suppliers to the pattern of the obsolete Hepolite rings, so GPM rings fit Hepolite and GPM pistons. No problems with those, neither in road nor in race use.
