Patience is a virtue

Hi everyone,

Have just this minute joined NOC as I have had my 961 Sport Dual seat finally delivered. I orderedher and paid the deposit on June 6th 2011 and she finally arrived on the 9th of last month. Seeing that I work abroad and only got home a week ago you could say I was very excited tosee the Norton in the flesh. I was not disappointed!! What a stunning machine, both to look at and to hear the sound. Up to this point I have only ridden it around the block a couple of times as the roads around here are covered in salt! But I can say that, after living on a diet of japanese multi's for the last 30 years, that I have never had a bike so full of character. Sure am glad that I didn't listen to all the doomsayers that told me to get back my deposit.

So for all you people out there still waiting for your Norton, I say hang in there, you will not be disappointed!!!!

Thanks,

Chris.

Hi Chris, welcome to the club, I hope you get a lot of enjoyment both out of the new bike and also as a member of the club. To get the most out of your membership, why not pop along to your local branch and meet your fellow Norton Owners. I'm sure you will get a warm welcome and also chance to join in with their activities.

Cheers Big Alan, Shenstone branch sec.

Great to hear, Chris. Year and a half is a long time but this is my 50th year riding so I'm willing to wait for this bike. Very glad to hear that it meets or exceeds everyone's expectations. That's WORTH waiting for. I live in Sunny Las Vegas, NV where it hit 88 degrees F today. Warmer than normal but I can assure you that I will be riding mine a lot the moment it arrives. Winter here is decent touring/riding weather. I'm going to be in the UK mid July and guys at the factory said I'm welcome to come by so I hope to be able to do so. Would be really cool if I got to see mine being built but ...
