Hello yes this is for 1955 paint changed in this year to a more silver grey colour than the early paint from 1953 it had some gold mixed in it giving it this grey gold green look . RS paint have to later colour then it changed its name again in 1960 to Norton grey metallic but its near the same colour metallic as the old polychromatic grey from 1955/6 then in 1961/2 the Standard 650 was painted in a smoke grey metallic but this paint as not been recorded by anyone yet, Rs paint colour schemes are NOT accurate they copied others and the one they when with its VW Palatine Silver Grey this is OK for Norton built after 1955/6 to 1962 I done hundred's of hours on researching paint codes for Norton twins if any of you find any micro finch on Norton paint codes as there was some done by ICI in the mid 70/80s do pass on any information to me Then I will catalog this for the Norton owners club and you all as very little of this work as been done by anyone, in the club So I do this for the club as it seem to me as it needs doing So I am up for this task so any member wishing to pass on good accurate paint codes and very close matches or spot on match but under a different name and code number please guys do you bit to help out with this I do the rest of the work and publish the results in the Roadholder so every one can save it in a file, for them selfs ,so then let get started my email address annajeannette@btinternet.com or just phone me on 01430 430831 after 6pm yours Anna J
