The local post box has been repainted in what looks to me to be the perfect shade of red !. Done by contractors they used Romec Post Office red BS 538 made by Cromadex . This is a Commercial use paint spirit based very fast drying for brush use . Apparently the post office is very fussy as to the correctness of the colour, Who isn't !!. The contractors use white spirit to slow it down but I am sure the solvent content is something else very unhealthy.

Have a story of a red frame fillings hole in a farmers hedge. Asked if it could be taken, the farmer said as long as you repair the hedge, it’s only an old post office bike. The frame was recovered, fence repaired and eventually the bike built up around the frame, a cherry red Vincent Rapide that it is today. J
