It's an interesting document as it looks period and factoryish..and presumably a UK publication ?
The 'de-Luxe' reference seems to be a continuation of Bracebridge Street's nomenclature for the Featherbed-framed Dominator model rather than the AMC-ownership suggestion that lots of extra tinwear meant higher spec...

The De luxe description wa…
The De luxe description was being used long before the "Body styled" tinware came along. When I rebuilt my orriginal 1960 wheels the first one I did with a Central supplied rim. It was not possible to lace the same as the orriginal as they were made to a different pattern. I talked to an old wheelbuilder about this,he just laughed and supplied me with the correctly drilled rim. Perhaps AMC did it different to NORTON.

They don't mention this odd lacing style on my 1956 99. I have never seen it anywhere else. They must have quickly abandoned it.
