NHT Timing cover evolution

Find it interesting when items for sale, such as on ebay and others, Based on the description that people don't know what they are selling or buying.

Here is one example that I will be adding to my website:

Timing Covers can be a real Mix & Match Mystery. The attachment shows just 3 from my original collection of 6 completely different Dominator covers. There are many more if you include the Commando variations plus those conversions supplied by the 1960s tuning specialists such as Dunstall.

Start with oval badge, round badge and no badge. Add to these those with sloping rev counter drive boss, circular boss, internal pressure release valve and the external PRV version.

Gearbox covers can also be a minefield of their own with pre-1962 Norton & AMC covers. Then add on the variations of post-62 Norton, AMC and Commando. The clutch cable entry point seems to move all over the top shoulder depending on the model.
