On stripping the head on my 1960 Dommie 99 I’ve discovered that the rocker (tappet) adjusters are badly damaged on the faces where they bear on the valve stem tip. They are badly chipped. The tips of a couple of the valves also have quite deep wear marks in them. My Triumphs all have mushroom-headed adjusters so I was wondering if such things are available for Dommies?
I’ve searched the internet but haven’t found any. Perhaps that’s because they aren’t advisable for Dommies - anyone have any views and ideas? Thanks
Regards

Tappet adjuster
Try RGM Motors, as they stock the mushroom tappet adjusters, as I bought my ones from them.

Thanks everyone. As nobody has screamed, “Don’t bother they’re not worth it” I’ll continue with my plan to get them. I’ll contact RGM and AN - I couldn’t find the mushroom-headed adjusters in either of their web sites when I looked a few days ago so I’ll give them a call.
Cheers

I can't find them on RGM's website either, but I bought mine from them.
An alternative is standard replacement rocker adjusters, and fit lash caps to your valves, given they are showing signs of wear too. Pity we can't add links on here, but they are £3.50 each from RGM, Bear in mind they add 1mm to the valve length.

Mushroom tappets
I think that Walridge Motors in Canada, also sell the mushroom tappet adjusters, as I have bought some from the company for my Norton's and my Triumph T100R Daytona.

Yesterday I received an email from Norvil. It seems that they are now selling a ‘kit’ of four mushroom headed adjusters for £44. Just thought I’d mention it in case anyone else is looking for them.

An American firm--Classic British Spares (CBS) have them listed for Commandos up to 1975, $35.00. R.G. M. used to do them.
