Just a heads up.
Yesterday I spent some time preparing my Caferacer for the coming season and noticed the that front brake side mirror mounting clamp had fractured. The fracture is between the mirror mounting point and the front clamp bolt so the brake lever assembly is only being held in position by the mirror. How this has happened I have no idea, it could be due to any number of things.
I ordered a new part yesterdaywith the ever efficient Tracy Elliott at Norton, within 90 mins Tracy had taken my desciption of the part, found it on her engineer list, gone down to the workshop and taken a photo of the part, emailed me the photo to make sure it was the correct part, and rang me back to take payment and it's in the post today. A big thank you to Tracy, top service.

If it has cracked it sounds like it has been over tighned. Presumably you have returned the part back to Norton for them to have a look at.
