John Tickle parts

Hi can any one tell me were John Trickle cafe racer head light brackets handed in any way? I've purchased two but the clamp bolts are both on the right with the thread side on the left. I've done some research but they all seem like that, I would of thought they would have been handed. Ian

The only pair John Tickle brackets I have is one bolt each side. Both with screw head on left side , 10mm head.

Sorry, we can't do an exhange cause mine are cut and bent to fit a flyscreen on a Manx.

Sorry for double posting, I tried to append photos

Thanks that's a help, do you have John tickle clip ons on your bike if so are they always marked with maker name? Also where have you put your battery?

Well my mounts are certainly marked with his name, I go them via an advert in the worlds best classic magazine, Roadholder.

I mounted my battery behind the gearbox and under the oil tank. I used a battery box from Unity Equipe.

Hope that this helps, good luck,

Charles.

Hi and thanks, your John Tickle brackets is the name stamped both on the right side of the brackets i.e. One would be showinwing outside the forks right hand side and the other showing inside the fork centres right hand side.?

Mine are handed too but you can buy stainless replicas from RGM.

Thanks you say they are handed is the marking John Tickle also handed on the brackets or is this showing both on right hand side?

As said before, Ian. One marked inside and one outside.

I also have a pair of Tickle front mudguard mounts, these are marked Tickle and I decided to clean these up and use them on my 650.

The RGM replicas of both are not marked.

I have just checked and you are right Name is on outside on the timing side and inside on the primary chaincase side. I should have noticed that when i built the bike up from a pile of bits! You learn something new every day!
