It's here!

Well it's here. Alas the photos I've tried to attch have all been too big... angry

Still, bike delivered before the promised date and it looks absolutely fabulous! I now just need some decent weather and for it to be March so that I can out and about and get the running-in process kicked off.

Thanks to Sean and the team at the factory for their helpfulness. They've been great with all my queries thus far. yes Once I've managed to get a photo to attach then I'll place it on the site.

Lee,

Use any old image editor to get the file size down to not more than 1Mb.

If all else fails, e-mail the image(s) to me and I'll crunch and post them for you. After all the debate we really do want to see the bike.

Hi Lee Great news, time to fit the bits before the good weather arrives and to sit and stare with a stupid grin on your face. I still grin when I walk in the garage nearly 3 years on, awsome.

Happy miles

Nice paint scheme Lee should be OK to ride now as there has Been no salt put down this winter. Ride it now and get it run in before the summer.

I wouldn't worrry too much about the mirrors yet Lee. They work well and IMHO look OK, I did change mine for bar end items but changed back because they didn't work for me. In the 3 years I've had my 961 most of the time I've had the original mirrors fitted. Everywhere I park at cafe's at shows race meetings etc I get loads of interest and comments and no one hassaid they don't like thestandard mirrors. In fact I have found most are enthused by the bikes looks. However I still get comments about what good nick it's in for a classic!! It's surprising how many people don't even realise Norton's are being manufactured again.

Hope it's sunny and dry on Saturday for you.

I too quite like the mirrors and they appear to show a good field of vision so I'm going to leave them alone for now.

I am looking for something to protect the tank though. Anyone have any suggestions? frown

Hi Lee, There is a company in Warrington Cheshire that does a clear film kit that covers both knee areas and the tank top where your beer belly rubs, company name Invisible Patterns, 01942274026. hope this is of use to all who wish to protect there steed.

Hi Lee. GOT MINE TO !

I had it deliverd in the end on Feb 14th I had emailed Sean @ Norton the day before asking for a delivery date and he said "you can have it tomorow" and I did.

I can only say that having now put about 100 miles on the clock that the bike is fantastic, all I hoped for and more. I've also started pulling it apart a bit and so far been nothing but impressed by the build QUALITY.

One small gripe (in the intrest of balance) the sidestand lug that enables you to flick it down is too short which makes it almost impossible to use whilst sitting on the bike.

more to follow Terry
