INOA Rally

It's all getting under way here in Wyoming. Around 250 miles so far on a nicely fettled 850 Commando that I have been lent. The picture shows today's high point on the Powder River Pass at 9666 feet above sea level. With a standard setup and a 22 tooth sprocket it was working quite hard for a good 30 miles to get up there from my 4600 feet start.

Gino and Fiona Rondelli and Martin Conachy from the NOC are here somewhere, but I have not yet made contact.

The INOA Rally is now over and most of the 320 people there will by now be back at home. The event was an outstanding success with a lot of riding done every day and a fine collection of Nortons, many of them very well prepared.

Look out for a full report and some pictures in the September issue of Roadholder and on this web site. Meanwhile, see the attached photo for what must have been the least expected Norton to appear at the rally.

Hi Chris,

A pleasure to have met you in Wyoming. You were at the head of the line of Nortons on the 10 Sleep ride. You should have seen the mile long line two by two from my "sweep" position at the end.

Safe to say we set a world record for number of Norton motorcycles that have ever been or ever will be in Wyoming.
