Gear lever for laydown box

Forums

I'm after a gear lever for the laydown gearbox on my 1950 ES2. I've seen them advertised for the AMC boxs. Are they interchangeble? If not does anyone know where I can get a new one? Mine is badly rusted and pitted so wont poish and plate very well at all.

just had a measure, they are different, the laydwn box is approx 20 mm measured over the splines(as is the upright box) and the amc box is 16mm.

Thanks John.

This makes the new question; where can I get one?

Hi Andy

I see one or two listed more or less constantly on eBay but who knows if it is the correct length.

Usually you can post a question to these guys and they will answer but I'm sure a Canadian or British source would be more forthcoming

Momentarily, I'm going to post a question on a "bolt kit" for my 1951

if you see it and have any advice it would be much appreciated
