I am refurbishing the clutch on my 1959 Model 50. Although I can buy new friction plats with the friction pads in situ, does anyone sell just the pads for insertion in the existing Chain Wheel/Clutch Basket !

Surely Norton clutches, at least from the 50s onwards, use Ferodo type inserts rather than natural cork? And Les' post (before the content disappeared all too quickly) contained a link to inserts of various thickness sold by RGM.

Mike Chenery is currently advertising in Old Bike Mart and Bob Metson used to. As they both operate in the same area there may be a connection. Whatever the history, a phone call or email might be beneficial.
