I had the misfortune to have to travel along a road that had recently been resurfaced and the loose chippings have done a good job of removing the paint on part of the lower frame. Norton do not have touch-up paint and are also unable to provide a RAL number. Has any one found a good match?

I believe the frame is made by Spondon. They should be able toprovide the RAL number

Spondon no longer exist as…
Spondon no longer exist as a separate company as they have been absorbed by Norton. The frames are now made in house at Norton by ex Spondon staff but the frames are then sent out for either painting or powder coating. I understand before the frame building was bought in house the frames were made in Coventry. I am of to my powder coater tomorrow on another matter and will ask him for the RAL number for Satin Black. As far a paint goes I would suggest Hammerite Satin Black as I have used this on restorin my ex race Triumph. This is if course a plain paint and does not have the "rippled" effect of the more usual Hammerite. Cost is about £9.00 for an areosol can and the paint is a bit tougher than usual paint.
