Can anyone help with sourcing the 3 rear wheel sleeve nuts for a '55 ES2? I've checked in the usual places (RGM/ Burton/NOC/ebay) with no success. Have I now got a problem? Cheers George

Many thanks guys. A load off my mind! I had checked on RGM but was using the pat no. as the search item (B2/451). I note that RGM give a different part no. but it may be a typo. The ebay version look OK too so l'll make decision today. BTW Dan, my 1950 spares book shows the same part no. for the nut so you must have a very early wheel! I note that mine are about 2-1/4" long so I guess they are classed as "long". George

Would I dare, Les! I measured the available gap across the hub and concluded that the long ones would hit the speedo drive so would not be capable of being inserted without a strip down so went for the short version as you suggested. Where would I be without you?? Thanks for all your help. Georgeps I I'll tighten them properly this time...........

Hi Les - just to tidy this up, the new nuts arrived today and are now fitted. Not the easiest for access. The original nuts were 2-3/8" long whilst the new ones are 1-1/2" long. No probs - just different. Should give me another 0.5mph with the reduced weight! Cheers, George

Just found (in the spares list on this site - I'd looked umder thr shop section - Doh!) brake retaining nuts noted as "long waisted" which mine are not. Yet it's the same part number B2/451. Would they fit?
