I have an Inter special. A 1949 engine installed in a bolted up wideline frame. There is no frame number because it seems to have been obliterated by a replacement DVLA number. I have realised that the frame does not have lugs for a centre stand. Does anyone know why they may have been omitted?

Hi Geoff
I thought Manx frames had a shallower? bend near the oil tank, and were made from 531 tubing. How you would check this (the 531) I wouldn't know. But bend could be compared to a normal frame.

Just guessing. A Manx frame has no centre stand. No need to carry extra weight on a race bike.
