Cylinder head sleeve nuts thread size

All my Commando cylinder heads have studs that are 3/8 - 26. Have you tried threading a nut onto the stud or a bolt into the sleeve nut?

Check out Andover Norton web site. they list a lot of thread sizes. The short head nuts are 3/8-26 but the long sleeve nuts may be different. i will see if I can find an old nut and check the thread. If no one else knows, but I am sure some one will.
