My a1954 Norton big 4 has a chronometic spedo on it and I am just wondering if it is the correct spedo. I took it off this fall to replace the trip reset which I believe I need to have the spedo body in the case with the face off to push the reset through the case to put the reset knob on. Is this the correct way to do it?? Next the real question, on the spedo under the words is S467/S/L Can I assume this tells me some information on the spedo. I have so far found no info on what it means. Can anyone help me decode this?
Thank you very much

Michael, Thank you for you…
Michael,
Thank you for your information. I see now I do have the correct spedo on my bike and that there was a 5 not a s as I thought. Next question is does anyone exactly what does S467/5/L mean??
Thank you for any help

can I assume that the S467…
can I assume that the S467/5 must have something to do with the speed max on the dial and possible difference between kilometers and mph?? Or am I trying to find the answer to a question that is not of any importance. I am just learning about my big 4 and there is not much help here in Minnesota.

This is indeed useful information but I wonder if there is any corresponding data for pre-WWII speedo's?
