Reassembling an 850 Mk3 and came across this bracket in the box of powder coated bits and have got absolutely no idea what it does or where it goes. Parts book does not throw up any clues, nor does the manual. Done a fair few non Mk3's in the past and not fitted to those. It was included by me for powder coating by me so not someone else's by mistake.

Lucas RITA?
Lucas RITA is still a very worthwhile reliable ignition system. Any apparent poor connectors scrappy wiring is thus ie NOT the direct problem of the RITA. The Boyer Bransden will drop into the same bad connectors in due course, perhaps even sooner as the BB uses the nasty RED/BLUE connectors. PS I repair RITA and have all of the spares (if needed).
