i took the 2 studs out of the barrels close to the push rod tunnels (number 9and 10 on the head tightening sequence), when i had a rebore.
Now i have come to refit them I notice each end has a different thread length the short end fits in perfect, butso does the long end, i should have noted it when i removed them but missed it.
Can anyone enlighten me please

Also worth using loctite (…
Also worth using loctite (or a smear of Wellseal) on refitting as the hole can break through into the camshaft tunnel causing oil seepage....

Short threaded end into barrel otherwise there won't be enough threads to fully go through the nut in the head.
