Nearing completion on my model 50 build and I have the proverbial 'bag of bits' for a timing cover. I can't seem to find a decent exploded view of where all the bits go. I have the 2 conical springs, 2 ball bearings, one large, 1 small and the 'top hat' which bears against the pump outlet, all out of the casing. I also have the l/h threaded piece which forms the main oil feed to the crank. Missing is the oil connector and spring for the crank feed.
Q1. Which way round do the conical springs go?
Q2. Does anyone have the sizes for the (presumably brass) oil connector. I have a lathe and the wherewithal to make the missing part. Is the spring available anywhere?
Q3. Am I correct in thinking there is no gasket for the timing cover?
thanks in anticipation.

Thanks for the replies, I…
Thanks for the replies, I eventually made contact with Les at Norvil and they can supply the parts and also answered some of the questions , so they should be here when I too get back from hols (Fair Isle)
Will eventually put an article together for Rh when it's all done,
Ian

Greetings Ian,
See if these help.
Over the years in the 'Roadholder' Mike P. has extensively covered off "Singles" rebuilds. I can also highly recommend his singles rebuild DVD.
Good luck, Steve
