Dear Members,
I have a 1960 ES2 with coil ignition. A recent article in Classic Bike Guide by Mike Pemberton recommends having a spare condenser. I have ordered one from the club as a precaution.
My question is about the symptoms of a faulty condenser. Does the bike just die or does it misfire a bit like running out of petrol and then die?
Regards,
Peter Bolton

DIfficult to start when cold, erratic running with misfiring, impossible to start when hot. That's why my old Land Rovers carry spare condensers in their toolkits.
