I’m having problems getting the correct tank badge screws, I’ve been told they’re a 4ba screw but the holes look smaller maybe 6ba. This is the chrome tank without side panels it has just two round plastic badges

Mine is a 58 model, and I suppose we are all at the mercy of previous owners messing with things, but they turned out to be 1/8" BSW. It sounds like mine is a different tank to yours, though, Dave, with chrome side strips and the badges at the front, with screws passing through the plastic badge, the chrome side strip and into the tank skin itself. They are around 3/4 long. I haven't seen another tank assembly quite like mine, so I suspect it is non- original. Hope that helps - the screws are only pennies if you need to try trial and error.
