Hi, I have a 1943 16H which arrived in boxes! I'm dry building it and can't seem to find the thread that's used in the frame to secure things like the seat, speedo bracket etc. Is the thread standard through the frame irrespective of the size. If so what is it please?

As a general rule for the frame parts, 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 diameter bolts are cycle thread 26tpi. 7/16 and 1/2 inch diameter bolts are cycle thread 20tpi.

Thanks guys, I thought so, but as a couple of threaded points were very reluctant to accept the bolts I thought I'd best check (doubting myself). I will run a tap through them as I now suspect age related problems.
