Navigator Front Wheel Bearings

Forums

I'm probably just 'man-looking' as my wife would say, but I can't seem to find Navigator front wheel bearings in the Lightweight section of the NOC Shop.  Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Also any top tips on removing and replacing them.

Thanks, Nick.

Nick, If you go to NOC shop, Spares, Lightweights then down left hand side to bearings, you will find -

17721 . . Parts List No EA18 . . RH, double row 17x40x16 . . SKF 4203

17719 . . Parts List No EA22 . . LH, single row 17x40x12 . . SKF 6203

Or as Dan said, go to your nearest bearing specialist.

Hope this helps

Thanks for that Stan, much appreciated.  Anyone want to chip in with advice on removal and replacement?  I'd be grateful for tips from anyone who's done this before.

Thanks, Nick.

The bearing retaining ring can be tight and may need a peg spanner. Dont fill the hub with grease ,only the bearing. Some later hubs have a different thread direction on the ring.Doubt you have one. Dont hit the inner part of the races on new bearings.I seem to remember center spacer needs to go one way only ,but may be mixing up with another bike.

Thank you Robert,  I think a pin spanner would be a sound investment.  How best should I remove the old bearings and drift in the new ones?  The original Manual says, I think, that the spindle end can be used - is this still sound advice or is there a better tool/method?
