Re: 16H timing

Forums

Guys my 16H engine has a dot on each cam wheel and two dots on the crank drive. Now the book shows the two cam dots matched up and the crank drive matched to two lines. I don't have two lines on my crankshaft drive?? Just dots so do my dots all line up or is my gearwheel wrong. My 16H manual shows the first all very confusing

Hi Carl,

Not very helpful here but I wouldn't trust the cam wheel dots, on both my 16H and my ES2 they were more hindrance than help. If you have it apart degreeing things in would be more reliable.

best of luck

I printed off a degree wheel off the net and stuck it to cardboard and mounted it to the crank in front of the engine sprocket, sorted my timing and checked the valves in no time!
