Thank you byron for that info on the switch. I see the switch that

your refering to on the noc list , s3297 - $18.00 - my original

switch on the electra has a key with it , also there are 9 terminal

post on the original switch that plug into the wiring harness.is the

switch for sale on noc going to match up the same way.

   thanks todd stewart.

Yes I have an Electra but no I do not sell the switches. Now the actual ignition switch and lighting switch are the same. and the knob is the same, but the Electra switch knob can have an ignition key. I had one for a while, but it felt so weak and puny, although it didn't  break I took it off and used the normal looking knob. Unplugging the wiring, pulling off the knob and you are left with two identical switches.

Todd, further to Al Osborn's sage advice above I have the same Wipac 'lockable' ignition switch working on my Navigator.   As Al points out the actual ignition switch which sits inside the headlamp is the part sold by NOC club and that comes with a non locking knob which presses on to the operating shaft so the easiest solution is to use one of those.   The difference with the lockable knob is it comes with a small metal bracket which fits under the nut which holds the switch in the headlight shell.   The locable knob fits over this and has an outer part which is free to rotate on an inner shaft which is held in place on the shaft of the switch by a tiny grub screw.   The outer part of the knob will not turn the ignition on until the 'key' is put in a slot which locks the inner and outer knob together.   Not exactly a secure ignition lock but I take a bizarre pleasure in still using mine - although beware, the key can vibrate out and be lost and they aren't available!   I have only once seen a new old stock one advertised on ebay and that was at a ridiculous price.   If you still have the key and lockable knob it will fit on to the new switch - that is what I did with mine.  I hope that helps - if you need a clearer explanation I will photograph mine and attach it to this thread!
