Finally got the bike dirty!

Forums

Having stopped most of the oil leaks by fitting a paper gasket to the rocker box and moved the footrests back the bike was ready last night for its first trial for 30 or so years and my first trial ever! Well other than the one in Bournemouth magistrates court in 1978 ( guilty of inefficient silencers and excessive noise!)

This was a friendly trial before the main event tomorrow. Despite being as heavy as a landrover the ES2 was pretty impressive, bags of grip and the lack of stopping power (the brakes are more decorative than effective!) was replaced by great engine braking. I can confirm that trials are more exhausting than they look!

Hopefully there will be some better photos later.

If the bike goes as well as it looks, you are a very lucky manSmile
