I purchased short stanchions. The bike looks like leaning forward. It has 19" rims both front and rear
What should be the usual most common length for the stanchions on a 1953 Domi?
What should be the most common distance between the upper and lower eyes of the shock absorbers?

I believe your rear shocks…
I believe your rear shocks should be 12.9" unless someone else has better information.

Your springs determine your ride height not your stanchions. Imagine if 6 inches were suddenly added to your stanchions, they would just reach deeper into the sliders (unless they bottomed).
