Good morning
Happy to say the planned work is almost complete and Number 37 - as its now know is looking amazing but got to be honest having a total night mare with re wiring and I'm not only loosing sleep but hair too (which I can ill afford!!)
When starting the 'resurrection' we knew of a wiring issue so decided to source a new wiring loom and rewire for daytime use only also get shot of the dreaded PRS8 switch, simple you'd think!
Got to be honest if there is anyone out there that would like to earn a quid I'd pay good money for it to be done..........
Yours hopefully Neil

I do NOT live in the middle of nowhere!
I live in a bungalow in Mid Norfolk!
There is nothing wrong with the PRS8, wonderful switch designed by Lucas in the early 50s.
Ferret will do a good job BUT will charge both arms and both legs! Wiring without lights is a backward step, Also doing away with the battery means you will have to have a good alternator to allow a start and if you stall at the traffic lights you have no stop light!

Thank you for your input…
Thank you for your input Alan I have finished the bike in the style of a 1960's Manx complete with number plate/nose cone fairing hence no lighting, you are so right on the whole alternator/battery subject and yes I am keeping a small battery.

Small batteries....
Small batteries will over charge, depends on the bikes need for electricity and the state of your alternator charging system. You could have run total loss, then you will need to recharge ever/other journey.
