Podtronics

Forums

I recently bought a Podtronics from the NOC shop.

1] can this be used with a Gel battery?

2] Do I just earth the blue capacitor and the warning light assimilator?

Many thanks Roger

Despite this question being a 'bit old' an answer might still be of some use. When you buy a product from a supplier shouldn't the supplier have the answer to any questions on the product? Hence NOC shop should be ably answer the first part of this question. The real way to answer the first part of the question is A) find out the specification of the Podtronics ie its charging voltage and B) find out the charging requirements of the GEL battery, shoupld be quoted in voltage or perhaps current, either way you should be able to match these requirements.

As for 'earthing' the capacitor and the Assimulator?? The question doesn't have a lot of meaning. If you are changing the rectifier-regulation system from a traditional bridge rectifier and Zener to a regualtor/rectifier system then all other parts continue to work as they used to. There is no reason to cahnge/remove the capcitor unless it is suspected of not working in its own right also the Warning light Assimulator.

Al Osborn.
