Let this bring hope to others waiting. It was22 months waiting and I understand that build situation has now further improved.

I was out on mine in Sunday evening's showers grinning like a fool )))) 690miles on it now and the 1st service,loud pipes and remap have turned it into one fine motorcycle. I prefer to ride round the twisties of Snowdonia on the 961 rather than my 1098 Ducati and Honda Blackbird

I have had mine now for over 18 months and covered 4,500 miles and enjoyed every minute of it. I am pleased that I didn't listen to the people on here and other sites saying that Norton were going to fail. I placed my order at the NECin early December 2009 and it should have been delivered in August 2010 but was delayed until March 2011. At times I thought I would never get my bike especially after all the negative stuff on websites. Two years later the same old stories are still around, I hope that Norton are getting better at keeping customers informed. I think it is a shame that Chis Walker left the company as he was Sales Manager when I ordered mine and was an excellent ambassador for them and always kept me updated. I have had lots of bikes over the last 30 years from Goldstars to MV Agusta, and all the Jap Superbikes but none of them attracted the attention I get when I parkmy 961.

Being delivered tomorrow - to my neighbour as I'm out of the country for a couple of months and didn't want some other waiting customer to snaffle it (on advice from the sales manager !).
