Slight disagreement, drain sump, and tank, and replace with fresh oil. After 30 years there are likely to be more problems, than just wet sumping. Best advice is to join your local branch, who will, no doubt, give help.

If it's been sat in the garage for some time, John, it would be safer to drain the oil from the crankcase and return it to the oil tank. Otherwise you may blow seals and distribute oil all over the place. When (if?) she starts check that the oil is returning to the tank. George
