Rotor came loose. Trashed Stator !

Forums

Bike is 1959 Dommi 99 - The bike has a belt drive conversion which alters the normal placement of the Rotor - not sure if this has an influence on the problem or not. What torque shoul I tighten the Rotor securing nut to ? Should it have a locking washer ? Is locktite beneficial in this situation.

The rotor should have a spring washer, available from the usual suppliers.  Sadly your issue has happened before.  Don't know torque figure off hand.

The attachment may hold the answer as it is from the Dominator Service Notes. Generally there needs to be a spring or locking washer under the nut other wise this may become threadbound and still leave the rotor loose. I don't use Thread goo on this nut as it is hard enough to undo normally let alone glued in place.

If needed rotor spacers are availiable  from RGM to fit behind the rotor .Definitely needed when I uprated my Alternator to a new one.
