Modern Nortons

Looks like the title 'Donington Nortons' needs another revision?

Can I ask if anyone on this forum has adjusted the valve clearance on their 961 and how did it go.?

I have had some advice from a Norton agent who said "Don't bother trying to do it, just leave them alone they will be ok".

Well it's official now, the 961 Commando range has 2021 as a year of grace before it's forced to  permanently hang up it's boots (tyres?).

I've got a Mk I 961 Cafe Racer with standard pipes. I would like something that will i) Give me a bit more acceleration and ii) Give a louder engine noise to help drown out the rattling at tick over.

I am thinking of changing my reliable, 1988 Honda Revere 600 workhorse which I have owned for 16 years for a 961. I have looked online mainly on ebay and there are quite a lot for sale.

I spoke to "that man" at the NEC shows 2 or 3 times. Seemed to have a genuine affection for the brand; told me his dad used to take him to watch the Rotaries race. We shall see how it all pans out.

For some reason my acceleration grip ripped need to replace it what is a good place to buy them
