Powering accessories without removing the tank!

Hi all.

So I want to add a Quad Lock wireless charger to my brand new Commando 961 SP.

To the best of my knowledge, you can't access the battery terminals without taking the tank off. I really don't want to do this!

Norton have placed a female charging connector under the seat. My question is, can I use this connector to power my Quad Lock?

My plan is use this adaptor:

Minimum starting voltage

Apologies to Stu.... my 2020 961 cut out on me when I stopped at the lights tonight; it often idles to a stall when cold (ish) - I'd been out no more than 10 mins. Pushed the start button and nothing; not a click, crank or whirr of a fuel pump. Pushed it off the road, swore at it, check battery - 12.2v. Low, but not dead. Waited 5 mins, then tried again, but this time glimpsed 'LOW 3.3' appear briefly on the digi readout before v climbed up to around 12.1v. Again, nothing; no pump, starter click - nothing. RAC chap came and jump-started direct to the starter motor.

All-new petrol Nortons on the way?

Saw an online article explaining why Nortons are not currently for sale in the US ie being non-Euro 5, and only sold in the UK under the Motorcycle Single Vehicle Approval registrations. Indeed, the factory website for the bikes states “Only available for sale in the UK”. But what caught my eye further down in this article

A first spy shot of the latest all-electric Norton has been spotted in central London, heavily disguised as a Norton Jubilee, complete with a dummy engine, and attached to a side-car carrying the batteries

2016 dominator air filter issues

Hi ,I’m a new member looking for some advice please.I have just purchased a Dominator 2016 model and took it out for its first ride ,apart from hurting my old back and wrists it was great ,really enjoyed it ,however after checking the bike over afterwards I found that the air filter was rattling around in its box . I tried to re fit it and the following ride out brought the same results. As I have no literature I’m now unsure now how it fits or even if it’s the right part.

New 961 test ride comments

I recently had the opportunity to test ride the new Norton Commando 961, first, a couple of weeks ago when Norton were doing a test ride day at P&H M/C's, which was a bit of a letdown really as I had to ride in tandem with a few other riders and follow the leader kind of thing. Pretty boring!

But yesterday I tried it again on my own where I had the opportunity to really give it a really good thrashing on some really good windy fast roads from Crawley to Balcombe and back
