workshop manual

Rather than pay the £90 to Norton for the workshop manual anybody got one to sell, don't have the facilities to download and printout, want the original manual.

I can help you with a digital version and even put it on disc for you if you want. I have never seen a genuine manual offered for re-sale. Good Luck

I wouldn't waste your money Frederick its not much better than the owners handbook, I have never had a manual that was so basic and certainly not worth half the £90

All

just picked up 961 ABS today, not ridden yet because of weather..

Does the manual cover things like is there a female socket for DIN plug; is there a vacuum take off for Scottoiler; where attach battery optimiser; what are standard suspension settings; what do if ABS light flashes continuously?

regards

Hi Alan Welcome to the club. I suggest to log into access Norton where you can download excellent manuals. In respect of your questions there should already be a battery lead attached. I would also suggest that you visit a suspension specialist who will set the bike up for your weight and style of riding etc. It transformed my bike for less than £50. In respect of the ABS it flashes continuously until you reach a certain speed (3-5 mph normally) when it switches off. If it does not then it is a problem. I am not sure what you mean by a DIN plug but no doubt someone will know. Maybe expand what you want to do. I will be in Belgium later today at the NOC International so will not have access to my computer this weekend. Regards

For the DIN plug , if you mean the open socket end under the rear left side of the seat usually tucked into the recess at top of the suspension unit , there is no male / female half supplied for this - you have to buy it. Maplins sell the other half for a couple of quid. Very useful for battery charging avoiding the rigmarole of lifting fuel tank to expose battery.

Thanks for the welcome.

Yes, ABS light went out right away.

I will join accesss Norton, just found website.

Certainly can't find battery lead near left hand rear suspension under seat..there is a diagnostic port but thats it. Maybe euro 4 and ABS means it has gone?

I have only done 30 miles so far, so not tested howgood suspension settings are yet...

Regards and thanks

Alan
