Top Norton racer Derek Minter has passed away

Some sad news of the passing of a famous Racer Derek Minter. He passed away in a nursing home in Kent on January 2nd. His racing tributes included racing Manx Nortons on many race tracks over the years. I do hope the "Roadholder" can take this up further. Yours Anna J

That is sad news. I always remember him beingknown asThe King of Brands. Not to mention being the first rider to lap the IoM TT course at over 100mph on a single cylinder machine. Very much a part of my early memories of road racing.
