Throttle cable 650SS

Hi All

I read the messages regularly and find most extremely useful. This is the first time I have posted a question.

Has anyone had problems fitting a Norvil threepiece throttle cable (033199)to a 1963 , 650ss with twin carbs?

I have retained the junction box that was existing. It appears to be the same as others.

With the adjuster in the cable and on the top of the carbsfully extended, the cable still appears to be approx 15-20mm too long.

The cable that I removed had 2 further adjusters, 1 in each cable to the carbs.

Am I missing something really obvious, do I need to find a way of installing the extra adjusters,or is the cable just too long?
