Can the 'monkey metal' tank badges be re-chromed satisfactorily? They seem rather flimsy so I'm not sure they would take kindly to blasting.

Best bet is to show your actual badges to a chromer and ask for a quote. Apparently most chromers refuse to even quote for monkey metal items and others can quote extortionate amounts.
In the past I have had several pairs of Norton badges rechromed by Prestige Chrome in Wombwell (Barnsley) South Yorks. and these came out quite well. I can't remember the price now but it wasn't too extortionate - otherwise I would remember the price,

I think theyâd probably disappear if you blast them! I know some clubs have had Mazac emblems and badges remanufactured as that was the cheapest option. You could try filling any pits and spraying them with that impressive new chrome spray, it depends how much of a purist you are I guess!
